Arriaga Theater (Bilbao)

Description

The Neo-Baroque architectural masterpiece, on the banks for the Nervion river, opened in 1890 and was heavily inspired by the famous Paris Opera House. It is named after Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, a brilliant 19th-century Bilbao composer who died tragically young at the age of 20 - also nicknamed as the "Spanish Mozart".
