On the Town Hall Bridge (Bilbao)

The Town Hall Bridge (Puente del Ayuntamiento) Inaugurated in 1934, it was originally designed as a bascule (drawbridge). It features a distinctive little domed building at its side: a former subterranean public restroom built in the early 20th century. Today, this unique, ornate structure functions as an elevator and access point for pedestrians.
